A.P. JØRGENSEN IN RIBE – HIGHEST EXPERTISE UP CLOSE

For A.P. Jørgensen in Ribe, functions as a service partner for SAMSON AGROLIZE are a high priority business area. A complete SAMSON warehouse, two top-equipped SAMSON service vehicles and numerous employees with specialized knowledge ensure SAMSON machines run smoothly at customer sites.

- Let's just be honest. It used to be that servicing a slurry tanker didn't have as much status as repairing a combine harvester. But we changed that a long time ago here at our company.

Foreman Ib Ibsen at AP Jørgensen in Ribe has a long-standing strategy for both recruiting skilled agricultural machinery mechanic apprentices and general skills development for his fitters. The company's function as a service partner for Samson Agrolize in Viborg is a focus area here.

- When we got the opportunity to become a Samson Service Partner four years ago, it was a great fit with our strategy and we could continue to expand our expertise in servicing the well-known and widely used SAMSON slurry equipment in our area. We have four priority Samson installers. "Two permanent field technicians, Jørgen and Dennis, and two at home in the workshop, Johan and Daniel, who basically do nothing more than look after a few hundred SAMSON slurry trailers and manure spreaders in the area," Ib Ibsen explains.

Professionalization

With A.P. Jørgensen's high prioritization of the function as a service partner for Samson Agrolize in the livestock-dense southwest Jutland, southern Jutland - and also the Funen area through Ringe Maskinforretning - the tasks have increased dramatically in recent years.

- From my point of view, with the turnover in SAMSON wear parts and spare parts, I estimate that the activity has increased fivefold since we formalized the service partner collaboration, says Warehouse Manager Søren Thomsen and shows around the shelves with SAMSON spare parts.

Warehouse Manager at Samson Agrolize service partner A.P. Jørgensen in Ribe, Søren Thomsen, makes every effort to find any relevant SAMSON spare part from the company's spare parts warehouse. - For our area, we have a very strong picture of which and how many wearing parts will be needed during a season," explains the experienced warehouse manager.

- With our extensive experience base, we know our customers' needs very well and can almost predict when an impeller or hose is due for replacement. And then we prioritize filling the warehouse well so that we don't get into trouble when things get busy," he explains.

Fully equipped cars

From the warehouse manager's point of view, the two Samson-dedicated service trucks are a special focus area.

- The two SAMSON service vehicles are equipped to service almost any job without installers having to drive for spare parts. We have almost all common spare parts in the vehicles, and we are especially strong on electronic parts. No need to drive back and forth to a warehouse for a 100 gram gadget. The same applies to some of the most common wearing parts, says Søren Thomsen.

Both Samson service vehicles at A.P. Jørgensen are equipped the same when it comes to tools and spare parts brought along.

- When one of the fitters or foreman Ib Ibsen points out a need for a new measuring tool or we need to find space for a certain important spare part in one of the cars, I always know that I have to get it for both cars. It is a principle that both service vehicles must be able to handle any situation - especially during the busy season.

Specialist in the warehouse

Just as the workshop and service vehicles have been upgraded to the highest level of expertise in servicing customers' SAMSON equipment - even 24 hours a day during peak season - the spare parts warehouse also has its SAMSON specialists.

- I would like to highlight warehouse assistant Hans Ole Thomsen as a special SAMSON expert. Like so many others in the company, he has been here for many years and has developed a special insight into finding and identifying even the smallest detail in the many SAMSON machines that have been delivered to the area over the years, explains Søren Thomsen.

The shelves are full

Søren Thomsen is working hard to ensure trouble-free driving next season for the many SAMSON users in the area. The warehouse at A.P. Jørgensen has just received two truck tractors from the factory in Viborg with wear parts and spare parts for the SAMSON machines.

- We are convinced that this is what we will need for the coming season," says the experienced warehouse manager.
Outside, the shop fills rolls with tow hoses and larger spare parts. And should an unlucky slurry pilot accidentally bump into his slurry tower or tear a pressure hose, the spare parts warehouse at A.P. Jørgensen is always prepared for quick assistance.

Often, one of the company's nine service vans is immediately packed with all relevant reservations within minutes of the customer's call.

- An extra trip is always a costly waste of time for both the customer and us, says Søren Thomsen, who also guarantees the cheapest price on original SAMSON spare parts.

The annual order for A.P. Jørgensen takes up a lot of space in the warehouse at SAMSON AGRO before it is packed up and sent in two truck tractors to Ribe.
