The brand new boom design, SHB4, represents a pioneering approach and offers a range of innovative features that set new standards in slurry application. One of the most notable features of the SHB4 is its impressive application width, which is the largest in the range. This allows users to cover more ground in less time and increase the efficiency of their work processes.
The slurry is distributed via four vertical distributors, ensuring even and precise distribution across the field. This approach not only helps to maximize the utilization of the slurry, but also to reduce overlap and waste, resulting in a more economical and environmentally friendly use of resources.
The SHB4 30 (18-24-27-28-30) and SHB4 30 C (18-24-27-28-30) both offer a maximum working width of 30 meters and can be folded to 18 meters during transport. Ideal for spreading slurry in medium to large fields, these models offer good performance and maneuverability.
The SHB4 36 (20-24-30-36) and SHB4 36 (24-30-36) have a maximum working width of 36 meters. While one folds to 20 meters, the other folds to 24 meters during transport. Both models offer efficient slurry application on larger agricultural areas and adapt to different transportation and storage needs.
Dual Pass Application (DPA) allows the operator to adjust the working width so that the boom only spreads slurry on the outer six meters on each side, for example.
Then fill up by driving the remaining 18 meters on an SHB4 30 or 24 meters on an SHB4 36 boom. This increases the range per load. This can be an advantage on very hilly fields. This way of discharging the slurry also reduces the mess in the grooming tracks.
DPA also allows multiple slurry trailers to work together to achieve a high application capacity of 30 or 36 meters of working/grooming tracks. Combining one to two slurry trailers with 18 or 24 meter booms together with a slurry tanker with an SHB4 30 or 36 m boom provides extremely high capacity for large farms using 30 or 36 meter tramlines.
This allows many contractors to use just one SHB4 boom and still ensure that large amounts of slurry are applied at the right time.
When unfolding near field boundaries and roads, the Field Boundary System (FBS) offers an ideal solution that eliminates folding over the desired working width. This allows the driver to drive up to the first lane along the road or boundary to unfold the boom. This minimizes unnecessary pressure damage to plants and soil and increases the efficiency of the machine set.
FBS is standard on all SHB4 variants.
All SBX and SBX2 booms are fitted with ADS. When folded in along the sides of the slurry tanker during transportation, the hoses lie over the fender boxes, resulting in a smaller transport width.
